However, Isolaz laser neutralizes oil and dirt within the pore, the vacuum sucks the toxins out of your pores elevating pore blockage with leads to inflammation (pimples).  Isolaz is great solution to address stubborn pimple and scars that remain after outbreaks.

Am I a good candidate for Isolaz treatment?

The procedure is good for anyone who suffers from clogged pores, pimples, black heads, white heads, or cystic acne. In addition, the procedure can be used on a patient's back, neck or shoulders. The Isolaz process is excellent at cleaning the sabaceous gland which naturally produces more oil in the aforementioned areas. Isolaz has produced great results for patients. Their acne, blackheads, and whiteheads have clear up and their confidence has soared.

The acne treatment:

The Isolaz infrared light neutralizes the toxins which blocks the pores that leads to acne. By vacuuming the dirt, oil and toxins out of the pores along with dead skin, this process opens up the pores and prevents acne from forming in the future. The light therapy: is a painless flash of light that goes on and off during the vacuuming process. The lights destroys acne causing bacteria and promotes the healing process of your skin. The laser light also decreases the production of sebaceous gland oil which further decreases breakouts.

Expectations of the treatment:

During the Isolaz acne treatment you will feel a warm but painless sensation as the vacuum/light wand device is rubbed over your skin. This process is repeated again, and again over the treatment area. There have been no cases reporting any level of pain during the Isolaz treatment. CoolScuplting

CoolSculpting is a non-surgical procedure that freeze and destroys fat below the surface of the skin. It is applied with a hand held device. Patience can experience some weight loss but it it's purpose is more to contour the shape in combination with a healthy diet and exercise. Men and women can be good candidates for CoolSculpting. The procedure uses cool temperatures so you should not undergo the procedure if you cryoglobulinemia, paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria, or cold agglutinin disease. Some plastic surgeons and dermatologist use CoolSculpting in combination with other body contouring procedures like liposuction. Ask your physician which options are best for the cosmetic goals you are trying to accomplish.

The procedure

The treatment area will be pinched into the CoolSculpting applicator. You should not feel pain, only some pressure and suction for the first few minutes of the treatment. After that, the target area will become numb to the cold. The treatment will last roughly 60 minutes, during which you can read, check email, watch a movie, or even nap. After the applicator process if it feels like there is “extra love handles underneath the skin” this fat will be sucked up by the applicator. Your provider will massage the site, and the lump should quickly disappear. As this is a no-downtime procedure, you’ll be free to continue with your regular activities right away.

What happens to the fat?

The fat cells are removed permanently. As adults, we don’t produce new fat cells, so the number of cells destroyed and removed from the body remains permanent. That said, when we gain weight, our fat cells expand. Gaining weight after CoolSculpting could still mean an increase in the size of the remaining fat cells.

What the difference between liposuction and Coolsculpting?

Liposuction can produce dramatic results and sometime requires general anesthesia. Coolsculpting does not require anesthesia but produces less dramatic results.

Cryotherapy

Cryosurgery is a highly effective treatment for a broad range of benign skin problems. Cryosurgery is best suited for use in patients with light skin and for treatment of lesions in most non–hair-bearing areas of the body. Benign skin lesions that are suitable for freezing include actinic keratosis, solar lentigo, seborrheic keratosis, viral wart, molluscum contagiosum, and dermatofibroma. Spray methods include the timed spot freeze technique, the rotary or spiral pattern, and the paintbrush method. Potential side effects include bleeding, blister formation, headache, hair loss, and hypopigmentation, but rarely scarring. Psoriasis

Shingles

Shingles is a painful rash that is usually on one side of the face or body. Shingles symptoms include a rash that can cause blisters that usually scab after 7-10 days. Shingles is related to Chicken Pox, and is caused by the varicella zoster virus. The risk of getting Shingles increases as people age especially after age 60. Call a board certified dermatologist.

Is Shingles contagious?

Shingles is not contagious but it can be spread from some with an active case to someone who has never had Chicken Pox. The virus is spread by fluid from the blister to another but once the blister develops a crust it is no longer contagious. This should answer the question: “Are shingles contagious?”

Shingles symptoms

Shingles can have debilitating symptoms; Pain, numbness and burning on the skin Skin that is sensitive to the touch Red rash that appears after the pain appears Severe itching Blisters with fluid that break open and form a crust

Shingles treatment

Shingles can be effectively treated with antiviral medicines—acyclovir, valacyclovir, and famciclovir. However, to be most effective the medication must be applied at the beginning of the out break.

Shingles vaccine

To avoid contracting shingles, men and women over age 60 may consider a shingles vaccination. The CDC recommends and the FDA has approved shingles vaccine. Call a board certified dermatologist to get your Shingles vaccine. Shingles is sometimes called Zoster Herpes, it is NOT related to the same virus that causes genital herpes which is a sexually transmitted disease.
